Genealogy

Hi,

We’d like to do some genealogy at the reunion and if everyone can bring a family group sheet of their immediate family.. complete and verified, it would be great! Please scan and put into PDF files, supporting documentation that you have such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, etc. If you can’t scan, you can call me and I’ll help you.

Example: Arnie and Gigi do a sheet with their names, wedding date, etc. It would include their parents as well as children Taylor, Mat, AJ and Kristo with their pertinent information.

Example: Taylor and Trinity would do a sheet with their names, wedding date, etc. It would include their parents as well as Lottie.

There is a lot of emphasis on researching our past, but I’m finding that much of our current information is not assembled together very well. I’d like to get this up to date and then keep it up each year at reunion time. There is a lot we need to discuss genealogy-wise. We have a real opportunity and great blessings come from this work.

Who's Coming?

We need to get a number as to how many are coming to the reunion. We’ve still got time to plan stuff, but who wants to put stuff together for 30 people and have only 10 show up? Not me! The plan will be way different with more people.

So, here’s the list as of today.

Poppy and Nana, Arnie and Gigi, Taylor, Trinity and Lottie, Mat and April, Thatcher, Luke, Ryan and Meggi, Joseph and Abbi. That’s all who have officially answered and said they’d be there.

Rammfest Revisited 2008

Well, it's less than 2 months away and the excitement is beginning to build. The reunion will be the 3rd, 4th and 5th of July in Hanna, Utah. Same as last year.

As time is passing quickly, I'll be posting more often on this blog and if you have questions or comments, please email me.

I've set this blog up so that it will automatically email each of the family heads. That's Poppy and Nana, Kari and Alan, Gigi and Arnie, Marci and Charles, Steve and Debbie, Mat and Shelly and Julie and Craig. (I'm limited to not enough names to handle everyone). I'll try to email everyone each time we have a change, but it may be better to just subscribe here. At the bottom of this page, you'll see the option to subscribe to the feed.

Menu and activity ideas are welcome. You all know the place and what we can do. Now let's do it.

I'll be bringing the ice cream machine again. Other than that... who knows. It will be fun... and remember

The Festival Winds Down for Another Year

Wow! Home again after the festivities and mind jarring activities of RAMMFEST 2007. It was great. I'm including, over the next couple of days, some pictures that were snapped at the actual festival. Sad to say that few of the groups actually performed, but all was ... well... spectacular!

Committed

We just returned from the store with the food. There is a lot of it and it will be fun preparing it and consuming it. We're counting on the numbers that have come down the grapevine to us as we haven't heard directly from many of you. We'll post a meal preparation and clean-up schedule on Thursday so everyone will have a chance to be of service to others.

We're thinking there will be 27 festival goers there and have plenty of grub and liquids to meet their needs. As mentioned before, please bring goodies and cookies etc. to share around and keep the sugar levels high.

You've seen the menus, we've added a few things (like watermelon) and we're hoping that all will enjoy their time at RAMMFEST07.

We're planning only one meal on Thursday and that will be in the evening. We don't know when people will be arriving, but you are welcome any time during the day starting Thursday morning. I have an appointment until 9am and then will leave the city. AJ and I are traveling together and will arrive around noon. If you are there before me congratulations! I'll be arriving shortly. My family will begin arriving on Thursday and continue through Friday. Everyone should be present and accounted for by Friday afternoon.

Cell phones work well there and so there shouldn't be any issues with communicating at home or abroad. Please call me if you have any questions, problems or get lost. I don't know what I'll be able to do for you, but call me anyway. We'll have a nice chat and I'll commiserate with your misfortunes. Then we'll make an example of you during the fun Friday night 'Believe It or Not' sessions and worship service.

We haven't received any requests or suggestions for Friday night's entertainment and so it may be left in Poppy's hands... and you know what that means.

Ok, we're excited to see you all there. Travel safe and we'll keep a light on for you.
