How to get to Hanna for the Reunion!

To Hanna through Heber City

US 40 through Heber City, past Strawberry Reservoir, thru Fruitland
Six miles past Fruitland make a left turn onto Highway 208.
10 miles and another left onto Utah Highway 35 (208 ends here). You will now be traveling northwest.
Travel through Tabiona and about 5 miles you’ll see a Hanna sign on the right. Look for the speed zone change to 35 mph and you are here. In the picture here, you’ll see the front end of the car sticking out of the driveway to the site. You’ll see the YELLOW METAL BUILDINGS on your left. The drive into the property is over a bridge that is across an irrigation canal.  You’ll see where to park.

 

 

From SLC over WOLF CREEK PASS

From Salt Lake take I-80 over Parleys and past the Park City turn off.
East to Silver Creek Junction and go south toward Heber City. At the turn off going to Kamas take Utah 35 (I’m not sure if this is the correct picture here – you know, East or West, you should be on Utah 35) just follow it to the Tabiona Valley.
Follow Utah 35 THROUGH HANNA.  Then, on the left, the large Storage Tanks of Chevron Oil Pump Station. We are just past Chevron, on your right.  (This picture was taken from the property on the wrong side of the street – but don’t let that bother you).
When the speed limits increase back to 55mph you are there.
Look for the yellow buildings, come across our bridge and make yourself known.

 

 

From California/Las Vegas through Provo

From I-15 head toward Provo. 

Get off I-15 on exit 263 (US-189) University Avenue.  Follow US 189 for 29 miles to Heber City. 

Turn right on Main Street which is US40. 

Then follow the directions from Heber City in the first example.

I am just adding things today as I remember them. so, here is the list for today.

We are borrowing Nana's idea and asking anyone that would like to participate to bring your D.I. items to the reunion. We can either do a "silent auction" if the stuff is worthy or just let anyone have at it. I am talking about smaller stuff that you will be able to fit in your cars. You may send a list of items you will be bringing to Arnie and we will post them on this site, or not.

Now to my favorite part of the reunion, the food. If you would like to have snacks, cookies, nibbles, or whatever, please feel free to bring them and we will share.

Don't forget to find those Ukes.

Who's Comin'

Only three weeks until Rammfest 2008
We're putting meals together this week. The following is a list of those who have told me they are coming. If you are not on this list and are planning to attend, please please let me know this week.

Here's my list:
Poppy and Nana, Kari and Alan, Ami and Ryan plus 2 small ones, Abbi and Joseph, Meggi and Ryan, Gigi and Arnie, Taylor and Trin plus 1 small one, Mat and April plus 2 small ones, Kristo and Ashley, Steve and Debbie plus 2 small ones, Heather, Amy, Marci, Holly, Anna, Emily and Thomas and baby, Vaitu'u and Nora, Robyn, Foleni and Makela plus 1 small one, Patrice and Bernard, Julie, Arnie and Crystal plus 2 small ones, Rachael and Danny plus 4 small ones.

We will arrive on Thursday morning along with Poppy and Nana. The Price's plan to arrive about 3pm on Thursday. I need to know when you others will arrive so we can plan for meals.

I'll have a menu out for meals next week.

We’re less than 30-days away from RAMMFEST 2008!

Let me give you some particulars.

As you remember, the bunk house sleeps about 50. 25 on each side. Let me know if you are planning to sleep in a tent and do the camp out rather than the bunk house.

Also, will you please let me know when you plan to arrive so I can plan meals accordingly.

We will provide the following meals.

Thursday - Dinner

Friday - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Saturday – Breakfast and Lunch

I’ll bring the soft ice cream machine like last year. Bring treats to share.

I’ve sent individual emails out to you with a map of how to get there, our budget and what it will cost your family. Call me if you have questions.

Here are the guidelines from the Oliphant family who own the property.

Often we are asked for a list of DO's and DON'Ts by people using Hanna. Experience allows us to publish this list. Someone from our family will always be present to answer questions and assist you with the facility.

NO PETS ALLOWED
Tents are permitted on the grass areas.
No fireworks.
Bunkhouse mattresses are not to be taken from that building and used in your tents, on the grass or decks.
There is NO general access to the main house
You MUST haul out your own garbage and dispose of it
We provide a fire ring so outdoor fire may be used there.
No water, drinks or food allowed in the bunkhouse
Please alert us of any and all accidents or incidents, so they may be dealt with properly.
FIRST AID available in main house
You may use or flags or your own for any flag ceremony
SNO CONE ice may be used as you think needed and necessary

Each Person Should Bring:
Sleeping Bag
Pillow
Warm Jacket / Sweater
Hand and Bath Towel
Swimming Suit (if you plan to go in the water)
Hat / Cap
Insect Repellent
Sun Screen

There are NO showers available for you. If a person feels the need to shower, there is the river.
There is HOT WATER in the wash basins and in the kitchen.

Please - no cars or vehicles on the grass.
