What's happenin' and what's cookin'?

Here is what we have planned. Any changes or suggestions are welcome.

We expect that folks will begin arriving in Thursday. There are no general activities planned. You are welcome to just rest and take it easy. Sit in the shade, chat and visit. Read a book.

Our first collective meal will be Thursday dinner.
  • Dinner - Hamburgers, Hotdogs, North Dakota baked beans, chips and drinks.
Thursday evening will be movie time. Nana has some new DVD compilations to share and after that we'll watch a movie. Suggestions are welcomed as to the movie title.

Friday
  • Breakfast - Egg McMuffins, OJ, English Muffins, toast and jam.
  • Lunch - Sandwiches. Sliced ham, turkey and beef. Thinly sliced tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, mustard, mayo etc. Chips and drinks.
  • Dinner - Chili Kenos or Navajo Tacos
Other than the meals, we don't have any collective activities planned. We do have horseshoes, volleyball and croquette.

We'll bring materials to make awesome marshmallow blow guns. These are really pretty fun and being outside, they'll be fun to shoot. Kind of like paintball without the pain.

Bring an innertube and float down the river. It's not very long (maybe 50 yards) nor is it deep, but is fun enough and will be cool and wet. The river is great to play in so bring your swimsuit, watersocks and a towel.

Friday night will be live entertainment. Some ideas on this would be appreciated.

Saturday
  • Breakfast - Full breakfast: Bacon, eggs, ham, pancakes and hashbrowns. OJ
  • Lunch - Compiled left-overs from all the other meals we've had.
Suggestions on more stuff to bring:
  • Innertube, swimsuit and watersocks
  • Folding lawn chair (there are plenty of vinyl chairs there, but if you want to bring your own, feel free)
  • Brownies, cookies and snacks to share would be nice for munching and deserts.
More tomorrow...
